Slim Taper is our narrowest fit. It features a fitted top block through the low hip and thighs and tapers to a narrower hem opening that makes it ideal for sneakers and low profile boot styles.

Fabric

A heavyweight selvage with deep roots. The Sensei clocks in at 16.5oz and carries the same weight and feel as the Cone Mills denim we ran for years before White Oak shut down in 2017.
Woven at 16.5oz with a slow, deliberate weave, this indigo selvage walks the line between raw strength and quiet refinement. What the Japanese call Shibui (渋い) which means subtle, understated beauty; refined simplicity. Not flashy, but deeply satisfying.
We think our new 16.5oz embodies these characteristics featuring a deep, dry indigo warp with a dusty natural weft. Just honest fabric with weight, texture, and integrity. Subtle on the surface, but built to break in with soul. Limited run.

  • Indigo Warp x Natural Weft
  • Red Orange top stitching for authentic denim aesthetic.
  • Sewn & chain stitched in all the right places on vintage Union Special, Reece & Singer machines.
  • A & E core spun poly thread for maximum strength & durability.
  • Embroidered star insignia on the right back pocket represents ‘Made in America’ status.
  • Button fly with double prong, donut style buttons. Old style pocket rivet burrs.
  • YKK Hardware.
  • Leather iD back patch. 
  • Leather back patches are cut & stamped in Los Angeles & waistband label is woven locally in Los Angeles.
  • Every aspect of the production is US made in Downtown Los Angeles from imported selvage denim.

SLIM TAPER MEASUREMENTS

All measurements are "full waist measurements." For a full waist measure, you would take your layflat measurements as shown on the waist measurements instructions above and double that number.  

Please allow for a +/- 1/2" tolerance in the waistband, top block, thigh, knee and hem opening vs listed spec.
