A Short History

The tote (meaning 'to carry') is a humble carryall bag that came into existence in the late 1800's in the Mid West. These original totes were built strong, made of canvas with durable handles that enabled the ability to carry heavier items such as wood or ice while shopping for family needs. They were even WWII USAF standard issue for fighter pilots who had a version to carry gear and navigation tools. These days you might not need to carry around wood, ice or engage in dogfights but the Blue Collar Carryall is constructed as if you needed to.  Made from the overages of the last lot of Cone Mills 13.5oz Blue Collar selvage denim that we used to manufacture our drop of Steadfast jackets, this carryall bleeds American Heritage as blue as the indigo yarn it's constructed from. Double needle construction throughout with wide, double ply denim handles. The wide strap handles provide extra comfort for carrying heavier contents. There is an additional front pocket for easier access to smaller essentials. Selvage details include the full length of both the 24.5 inch straps and the exterior front quick access pocket. Limited quantity, one time drop.
