The Die Hard Double Front Short is built from the same no-compromise blueprint as our original Die Hard Double Knee jean. Rooted in classic American workwear, it’s designed for hard use, daily function, and long-term durability. Featuring our signature double front construction with integrated utility pockets built directly into the front panels, plus a crotch gusset for unrestricted movement. When the workday is over, they transition just as easily into a everyday short built for weekends, road trips, and backyard bbq's.

Fabric

Woven in the USA by Mount Vernon Mills, one of the last remaining American textile mills still in operation, our canvas fabrics balance rugged character with everyday wearability. The Brown and Black canvas are cut from a versatile 12oz weight that feels substantial without being overly heavy, making them ideal for year-round wear across changing seasons. The Ecru canvas uses a slightly lighter 10oz fabric with an easy, broken-in feel from day one.
All three fabrics were selected for comfort, versatility, and everyday wearability, offering a substantial feel without being overly heavy or rigid.

  • Nickel free antique brass hardware.
  • Sewn & chain stitched in all the right places on vintage Union Special, Reece & Singer machines.
  • A & E core spun poly thread for maximum strength & durability.
  • Button fly with double prong, donut style buttons. Old style pocket rivet burrs.
  • All hardware is made in Kentucky.
  • Waistband and back pocket label are woven locally in Los Angeles.
  • Every aspect of the production is US made in Downtown Los Angeles.

Waistband measurement is "full waist measurements." For a full waist measure, you would take your layflat measurements as shown on the waist measurements instructions above and double that number.  

Please allow for a +/- 1/2" tolerance in the waistband, top block, thigh, knee and hem opening vs listed spec.
