This Slubtober release features a ridiculously rare Cone Mills dead stock quality that we have had on the back burner all year waiting for, well, Slubtober of course. The slub warp and weft yarns are all flame pima cotton from the US which has a very different aesthetic from your standard long staple cotton. The unevenness of the yarns (slub) is what gives the face of the denim that streaky and irregular character. Slub yarn is known for its irregular thickness and texture. It creates a unique, rugged, and uneven surface on the denim fabric. This characteristic adds depth and visual interest to the denim, giving it a rustic and authentic look that is very different from less pronounced yarn character.
