Deputy CPO Flannel Shirt Japanese Merino Wool

Japanese merino wool flannel is extremely difficult to come by so we're pumped to introduce this quality for Fall. Limited to 50 PCS this CPO has all the attributes of vintage flannels commonly found on quality heritage wool shirts from the 40's and 50's. The weaver is one of the few remaining in Japan that still sets the yarn by hand before weaving. This gives the wool yarn a course and uneven appearance evident in the multi tonality of the yarn color. This is necessary when seeking to emulate wool fabric from the golden era of American heritage wear. Another attribute of this method is in the hand feel. We have all had the experience of wool that is coarse and uncomfortable against the skin but this is an exceptional quality with an extremely soft and wearable texture. Merino wool can be delicate which can potentially affect it's durability, however a small percentage (5%) of nylon has been woven in with the yarn that gives it structure and strength which ensures longevity and durability.
