CONE MILLS WHITE OAK DEAD STOCK SELVAGE DENIM.

Mojave western cut is our newest fit inspired by the classic mid 50’s to mid 60’s silhouettes that became popular due to the widespread adoption of cowboy culture that permeated jeans wear during that particular era. The Mojave has a subtle knee to hem gradation that is just enough to accompany any boot without the concern of excess fabric. This is a classic American Western silhouette that has long been neglected but whose time has come once more.

What sets the Mojave Western apart is the custom embroidery on the back and coin pockets—a nod to the walking-stitch patterns found on the vamps of well-worn cowboy boots. Look close and you’ll catch the outline of a North American bison’s head and horns—a symbol of resilience and frontier grit. The back patch is branded and built from American tea-core leather, cut from U.S. steerhide that breaks in like your favorite saddle.

Fabric

A rare archive release from Cone Mills White Oak.
This XX selvage denim was woven at the historic White Oak plant in North Carolina and has been preserved in our archive since 2017. Originally produced as an unsanforized fabric, it has undergone a controlled steaming process prior to cutting and sewing. This method eliminates the majority of residual shrinkage while maintaining the structural integrity and aesthetic of raw denim. Unlike traditional one-wash treatments applied post-construction, this pre-cut process ensures selvage edges remain crisp and seam abrasion is avoided. The result is a stabilized unsanforized denim—retaining its authentic hand and character without the unpredictability of post-wash distortion.
