PRE ORDER: Marshal Selvage Chino - Desert Sand

Built from a 9 oz Japanese cotton sateen twill woven at Yoshiwa Mills, one of the top heritage mills in Okayama. This fabric uses a 4 × 1 weft‑float twill construction: for every one under, the weft yarn floats over four warp yarns. This creates a fabric that is weft‑faced, meaning more of the weft yarns appear on the face of the cloth, giving you that smooth, refined, slightly lustrous shell from day one.

Because the floats (weft crossing over multiple warps) reduce the number of interlacings, the surface of the cloth is flatter and gives a cleaner hand compared to a standard warp‑faced twill (which might be 3 × 1, 2 × 1, etc.). The result: a chino that looks sharp, drapes nicely, and still carries the ruggedness you expect from Brave Star, but with a soft subtle fade rather than heavy raw divergence.
