We often acquire over runs and dead stock from our fabric sources in the US and Japan and this was an awesome find. A saturated indigo with a semi slubby yarn weighing in at a solid 15.5oz which in our opinion is the sweet spot between a medium and heavy weight. The face of the denim has a slight hairiness which is a throwback to old finishing techniques where they skip the singeing of the denim. Singeing or gassing is a process where they pass the denim over an open flame to burn off the cotton fibers. These fine hairs will eventually wear off after the break in period. This is a weight for the denim head that needs time off from heavyweights as this is a great all year quality. Red orange selvage iD ticker.
