The Sawtooth Denim Shirt

The Sawtooth makes a welcomed return but with a couple design changes. We've opted for a double needle construction on the pockets and pocket flaps, front shoulder yokes and back yoke. This highlights the details of the shirt while keeping it firmly in the denim family but with a western twist. The denim we selected is a very wearable 8oz from Nihon Menpu that can be worn year round. The wearability is all due to the weave. A weave has significant impact on the hand feel and comfort especially shirting cloth. For denim shirting a 2x1 weave is the way to go for all season wear, especially in warmer climates. Most denim fabrics are woven with a 3x1 weave which is necessary as its density is needed in bottom weights. Our sawtooth snap shirt utilizes the less common 2x1 weave which provides the denim with all the durability it deserves but with more breathability due to the one less yarn in the warp. Sometimes it's what you leave out that makes all the difference. The openness of the weave allows for a good amount of grin thru on the face of the denim resulting in a rugged salt and pepper indigo that break in and ultimately yield a very soft hand feel. The custom antique brass snaps feature a vintage 'starburst' motif sourced specifically for our Sawtooth shirt which elevates and completes the heritage look. 100% cotton. Red line selvage iD.
